Engineer & Founder
I'm Thiago Moura, a software engineer with over five years of experience in real production systems across healthcare, public safety, and fintech. I specialize in diving into complex codebases already in production — the kind where every change carries weight.
Currently based in Gandia, Spain, I work remotely through my company Mouras, a Brazilian legal entity that enables professional B2B contracts with companies anywhere in the world.
My work spans backend architecture and full-stack development, primarily in Java and PHP environments, with strong experience in REST and SOAP integrations, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure.

Experience
Professional History
Transferred to the Spanish branch as part of the group's international expansion. Implemented the password recovery system integrated with MFA. Technical reference for the migration of the legacy PHP/plain JavaScript system to PHP/Angular. Participated in grooming sessions with Tech Lead, Product Owner, and QAs.
Initially engaged as an external consultant through Ankix, later hired directly by the company. Development of healthcare systems covering medical network, claims, authorizations, appointments, and reimbursements. Implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) and credential management. Integrations between internal and external systems via REST and SOAP.
Started as a commission-based position, evolved to a PJ contract through Extreme Digital Solutions. Development of critical systems, including the 190 emergency system and the full backend of the Maria da Penha system. Implemented real-time features with WebSocket and geolocation for vehicle monitoring.
Development of financial systems in a regulated environment (SUSEP). Microservices architecture with Apache Kafka messaging and integration with SUSEP regulatory APIs. Backend in Clojure and Python, frontend with Vue.js. TDD practices, automated testing, and Docker.
